The rapid platform of the Zepto trade announced its entry into the online pharmacy segment with the launch of “Zepto Pharmacy”, promising the delivery of medicines within 10 minutes in selected metropolitan areas.The service was launched in specific places in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-Ncr and Hyderabad, the co-founder and CEO of Zepto Aadit Palicha said in a post on LinkedIn.
The launch follows a 12 -month pilot phase focused on refining operations, said.
“Today, we formally announce the launch of Zepto Pharmacy – Medicines delivered in 10 minutes! In the last 12 months, the team has worked tirelessly to perfect the customer’s experience, the supply chain and small -scale compliance, and we want to grow constantly from here. Our goal is to maintain extremely high operational standards and do not climb too quickly, given the complexity of this category”.
The move marks Zepto’s expansion beyond its 10 -minute food delivery model, competing with online pharmacies consolidated such as Tata 1mg, Pharmassy and Apollo 24/7, as well as other rapid trade companies that offer medicinal delivery services.Palicha added that the company believes that the service, if performed well, can “seriously improve the life of millions of customers” making important medicines more accessible.
