The Yamaha Motor India was a well -known player in the country’s scooter segments and motorcyclists. In May 2025, the company sold a total of 46,086 units, which brought a decline of 34.37% on an annual basis and a decline in the mother of 1.58%, over 70,222 units sold in May 2025 and 46,826 units sold in April 2025. Volume loss was 24,136 Yoy units and 740 units.

Unlike volume generators such as Hero Mototocorp, Honda, Bajaj, Suzuki and TV, Yamaha operates only in the Premium segment. The 46,086 units of the company sold last month did not produce any positive growth in the aspects Yoy and Moms. The company’s overall best-seller was Rayzr Scooter and the best-selling motorcycle was the FZ range.

With 13,023 units sold, Rayzr commanded 28.26% of Yamaha’s total sales and obtained the position of the best-seller. However, Rayzr faced a strong decline in sales compared to 19,794 units sold last year and 14,183 units sold a month earlier, with consequent volume volume with 34.21% of Yoy and 8.18%, losing 6,771 units and 1,160 volume units.

In 2nd place, we have the FZ formation that took the same road as Rayzr as it sold 12,979 units and constituted 28.16% of Yamaha’s total sales. FZ sales decreased by 9.61% on an annual basis compared to 14,359 units sold last year with 1,380 units lost in volume and 3.73% of mother’s decline compared to 13,482 units sold a month earlier, losing 503 volume units.

Premium MT-15 and R15 sales stood at 7,034 units respectively and 5,997 units and ensured 3rd and 4th place in this list. Both bicycles witnessed similar trends in sales with 51.86% and 42.53% of decline on an annual basis, but with a growth of the mother of 0.13% and 22.19% respectively. Above all, the R15 that recorded a 1,089 -unit volume gain.

Aerox Registered Yoy and Mother’s growth

Fascio sales were not distant to 5,251 units and constitutes 11.39% of Yamaha’s total sales. Sales decreased with 43.72% on an annual basis and 7.52% of mom decreases. Yamaha Aerox 155 is the only vehicle in this list to record positive growth in Yoy and Moms aspects. With 1,760 units sold, Aerox 155 saw the growth of the mother of 5.33% and 18.60%.

The growth of the volume with Aerox 155 stood at 89 YOY units and 276 mom units. The top offers of the R3 and MT-03 company sold 42 units in total, which doubled in volume on an annual basis compared to 21 units sold last year. However, it was a decline in the mother of 36.36% compared to 66 units sold in April 2025.
