Wi-Fi AC vs Non-Wi-Fi AC: Main Difference
Control facility
Wi-Fi AC: You can control them from your smartphone, tablet or voice assistant (eg Alexa or Google Assistant) anywhere. Whether you are in office or travel, it is very easy to turn on/off AC, set or schedule temperature.Non-wi-fi ac: They do not have this facility. You have to control AC from remote, and this is possible only when you are with it.
Automation and Scheduling
Wi-Fi AC: You can run these ACS on pre-set schedule. For example, you can set that AC starts at 6 am and stops at 10 pm. This facility not only saves your hard work, but also controls electricity consumption.Non-wi-fi ac: They may have basic facility of timer, but detailed scheduling and automation are not possible.
Monitoring and savings of electricity consumption
Wi-Fi AC: In these, power consumption can be monitored through one app. You can see how much energy is being used and you can adjust your usage as required.
Non-wi-fi ac: There is no such facility in them. You have to guess the consumption from the electricity bill itself.
Voice control
Wi-Fi AC: If you have voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant, you can only control AC through voice. This feature may be less especially for the elderly or physically unable to be able to come down.
Non-wi-fi ac: They do not have a voice control feature.
Price and value
Wi-Fi ACs costs slightly more than Non-Wi-Fi ACS. However, if you give importance to smart features, electricity saving and features, this extra expenditure can be valid. On the other hand, if your budget is limited and you are satisfied with basic features, then Non-Wi-Fi AC will be prudent.<!–
