West Bengal Teacher Recruitment 2025: New recruitment to more than 35000 posts.

WBSCC Teacher Bharti 2025: Due to the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam, about 25000 education personnel including the teacher have lost their jobs. There is a political fierce battle in West Bengal. Meanwhile, the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has issued a new recruitment notification for more than 35000 posts of teachers. Under this, assistant teachers will be recruited in aided, sponsored secondary and higher secondary schools. The online application process for this recruitment will start on 16 June. The last date for filling the application form has been fixed on 14 July 2025.

Applications for this teacher recruitment of West Bengal have to go by visiting WestbengalSSC.com, the website of West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC). According to the notification, there is a total of 35726 vacancies of assistant teachers. In which 23212 vacancy secondary class teachers (classes nine and ten) and 12514 vacancies are of Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11-12).

Educational qualification

To become an assistant teacher, graduation should be done with 50 percent marks. Also, candidates should have a B.Ed degree.

Age limit

The maximum age of the candidates has been fixed at 40 years. Candidates of reserved category will get exemption in maximum age limit.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, educational qualification and interview.

Application fee

General category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 500. At the same time, the application fee for SC/ST/Divyang category candidates is Rs 200.
