Tokyo Based Startup Space One wanted to become the first Japanese firm to deliver a satellite into orbit. He launched 18-meter solid-fuel Caros rocket with his launch pad in Wakayama, Western Japan. A small government test satellite was also sent with the rocket.

According to the NDTV report, a few seconds after the launch, the rocket turned into flames and the launch pad area filled the black smoke. As soon as the spinkler sprayed the water, the burning debris looked falling on the nearby mountains. In a statement after the incident, Space One said that we decided to cancel it as soon as we launched the Karos rocket. The entire incident is currently being investigated.
