Upsc new online portal: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a new online application portal, so that candidates will now be able to use Aadhaar card in their registration. The Commission has said that now applicants will get the option of Aadhaar authentication for identity, so that their identity will be easily verified.

Registration advice

UPSC said that by adopting the Aadhaar card as a identity document, the information of the candidates will be verified quickly and easily. This will be a permanent identity record which will be useful in all the further examinations. However, if a candidate does not want to use Aadhaar, he can also use any other legitimate photo identity card (such as PAN card, passport etc.).

New System – What has changed?

Now the candidates will have to go to the new portal and upload the necessary documents. The old one -time registration (OTR) system has now been discontinued, that is, only a new portal will be used in future.
UPSC has suggested to candidates to use Aadhaar to get confirmation of quick registration and make the verification process easier at the examination center.
