Upsc free coaching seats: How many seats for whom?
The total number of seats available in the Haj House Residential Coaching Institute (HHRCI) is 100. Out of which 80% i.e. 80 seats are reserved for Muslim candidates and 20% i.e. 20 seats are reserved for other minorities, SC, ST and OBC candidates.
UPSC Free Coaching Selection Process: How will selection
The selection will be done through the selection entrance examination at the Haj House Residential Coaching Institute. For the selection of the compulsion candidates, there will be entrance examination at 21 centers on July 13, 2025. Its paper 1 will have 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ). Upsc free coaching application: Applications have started
Haj House Residential Coaching Institute will start in Mumbai from 11 August 2025. Online applications for this have started from 22 May 2025 and can be made by 21 June 2025. The application fee is Rs 100 and the application will have to be submitted on the website of Haj Committee Hajcommittee.gov.in.
Will any fee be charged?
UPSC preparations will be made free of cost at Haj House Residential Coaching Institute, but students will have to give a security deposit of Rs 3,500 per month for stay and eat and Rs 15,000 at the time of admission. This deposit will be seized on the UPSC preliminary examination to be held in May 2026
Can Hindu students take admission?
This time the Haj Committee has reserved 20% seats for non-Muslim minorities, SC, ST and OBC candidates to make its coaching more inclusive. It means that SC, ST or OBC students from Hindu community can apply for this coaching. However, no seat is reserved for Hindu students of general category.

How was it established?
The Haj House Coaching Institute was established on the basis of the 2006 Sachar Committee Report, stating that the participation of the Muslim community in civil services was only 3%, while their population was 14%. Since 2009, the institute has given coaching to about 1,500 students, out of which 25 passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination and more than 150 have achieved success in other affiliated services. Especially the institute has been a safe and reliable place for Muslim women, due to which many families allowed their daughters to study here. For example, students like Junaid Ahmed (Air 3 in 2018 and AIR 586 in 2022) achieved success by coaching from this institute.
