Patna: Divya Ojha wanted to create a distinct identity in the society by wearing uniforms since childhood. It was his dream to break the thinking of the society about the transgender community. He told Local 18 that “When God has given me everything right, why should I live like ordinary people?”

Divya attributes her success to Guru Rahman. When all the coaching institutes of Patna refused to give him admission, then Guru Rahman not only taught him for free, but also guided him till becoming a soldier. Guru Rahman has so far read many transgenders and made the policemen and soldiers.

The conversation with the father was closed and the family was not supported. There was a time when Divya remained in polythene at Patna Junction. There was an attempt to be taken to the infamous market, but they did not give up and escaped. The idea of suicide also came, but she stood up.

Divya challenged the thinking that transgenders just begging or body trade. She wanted the society to give respect and opportunity to the transgenders as well. Today, becoming a soldier is the result of this thinking.

Divya says that with the news of becoming a soldier, her new life started. He said that in front of this happiness, she has forgotten all her old pain and struggle. He worked hard for Divya’s physical. Weight also reduced and finally achieved uniform.
