The Prime Minister said that he is proud and happy that most of the parts used in Gaganyaan Human Space Flight Mission are made in India. The Prime Minister also emphasized the “important role” played by women in the country’s space program. He said that women are important parts in space operations like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan and it would not have been possible without them.
Modi also said that India’s success in the space sector is not only sowing the seeds of scientific thinking in the younger generation of the country, but also with significant developmental progress in various fields, it is also helping to emerge as a big global player in the 21st century. The Prime Minister also reviewed ISRO’s Gaganyaan Human Space Flight Program during this period.
