The Swiss Cosmetics Cellcosmet brand says it is time to enter India Market, and Brandequity

Tancrede Amacker, CEO of the Swiss Cellcosmet Cosmetics Society, showed a clear intention of wanting to enter the India market on Monday.The Swiss CEO met the Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal, who is on a two -day visit to Switzerland.

“It was a wonderful meeting … we make high -end cosmetics, we sell a high -end skin care made in Switzerland and the idea is how we could enter India,” he said to Ani.

“It is a wonderful country in terms of size and the population is enormous … we are pleased to serve Indian customers in Singapore, London or Switzerland, but not yet in India, and it’s time for us to enter,” he added.

“So we were discussing possibilities when it comes to distribution,” he also said.During the meeting, they spoke of the possibility of collaborating with Nykaa.

“It is a wonderful platform that (e) we are very interested,” said the CEO, referring to Nykaa.

He said Minister Piyush Goyal suggested the Swiss company to initially think about co-planing and producing in India in a later phase.

“The first step would be to enter India through a partner, so Nykaa could be one, this is a type of distribution partnership in which we are witnessing the understanding and knowledge of the market and trying to adapt a commercial proposal to the Indian market,” he explained.

In September, a trip to India was organized for Swiss companies, said CEO.

“Many Swiss colleagues will arrive along the way and we will find out which are the best positions to implement,” he said. “It is a wonderful investment destination. It is a very young and dynamic population, even very educated, so click, everything I would say the right boxes for the production and sale of high -end cosmetics,” he concluded.

The Minister of Commerce and the Union of the Piyush Goyal Union began his official visit to Switzerland on Monday, as part of his continuous visit to Switzerland and Sweden from 9 to 13 June 2025.

“This visit underlines the constant commitment of India to deepen the strategic and economic partnerships with the main European nations, advancing solid commercial and investment links and supporting a shared vision for a resilient global growth,” said his ministry in a note.

The visit began today in Switzerland, where the minister worked with global CEO and leader of the prominent sector to explore the opportunities to strengthen trade and bilateral investments.

The itinerary includes sectoral encounters focused with important leaders in the Swiss sector in sectors such as pharmaceutical sciences and life and precision engineering/machine tools/high -tech production.

The minister will also connect with the ICAI Zurich chapter and interact with the Indian media. A significant culminating point will be the meeting with the federal councilor Guy Parmelin who promotes strong commercial and diplomatic ties.

“A significant component of the high -level visit to Switzerland will include a series of individual meetings with the main Swiss companies. The representatives of the Indian industry will also participate in these crucial commitments, promoting direct dialogue and explore the opportunities for specific collaboration.
