The India’s smartphone market sees a 7-8% growth after a two-quarter collapse, Etbrandequity

The market trackers unanimously observed a rebound in smartphone shipments in the quarter of June, with shipments that grow by 7-8% of year after a two quarter-quarter collapse, sending about 37-38 million units. The rebound came following an increase in new models launches in all price segments, together with the increase in channel margins and strong marketing above the line. Having said that, the demand for consumers remained submissive during the quarter, with the increase in average sales prices that involved limiting the annual recovery of the shipments, the analysts said.The average sales prices (ASP) reached a record of $ 275 in the second quarter, up 10.8% of year.

The entry-level segment, which was falling, saw a strong growth of 22.9%, claiming a 16%share compared to 14%of a year ago.

Apple has maintained its strong services, with shipments that grow by 21.5% on an annual basis for 5.9 million units in the first half of 2025.

The iPhone 16 was the highest model throughout India in H1 2025, which constituted 4% of the overall shipments of India during that period.

Shipments to offline channels grew by 14.3% on an annual basis and their share increased to 53.6%, while the shipments of online channels remained flat in the second quarter of 2025.
