The Fairphone (Gen. 6) Review: Better than ever

By default, the Essentials mode has a minimum interface with few apps (camera, chrome, maps, messages and telephone) and allows only contact notifications with stars. You cannot return to your normal Android experience without turning the switch. It may not be a huge deterrent if your goal is to limit the time of the screen, but it is a way to block distractions. You can create tailor -made mode for driving, your morning routine and more. Don’t you interested the Fairphone moments? The other extraordinary feature of Gen. 6? Modular accessories. You can expect sharp images, even in mixed lighting scenarios, even if the prevalent problem is the way the phone makes the colors. In high contrast scenes, the colors may appear dishes or the white balance does not do its job and ends with strange colors. The blue sky is a strange shade sometimes, or the sunset is not as yellow as it should be. The details are largely there, they are only these elaboration oddities. 4K video footage is good and usable, even if not enough the quality that you will get from an adequate flagship phone.

Frankly, the camera system is better than I expected. No, it will not beat $ 500 Google Pixel 9a, but I still happily shared photos with friends and family and on social media as usual. In the end, this is not price. If it were, then an $ 400 5G motorcycle is also impressed.

The fairphone (Gen. 6) is made with over 50 % of equipped or recycled materials, an 8 % improvement compared to its predecessor. The company believes that it will reach its lowest carbon emissions thanks to the improvements of production and assembly.
