The Swiss Competition Authority declared Tuesday that he has opened an investigation into Beiersdorf on the fact that the group of German consumer goods has a relative market power compared to the Swiss Migros dealer in a dispute on the cost of its Nivea products. In a declaration, the Authority known as Comco said that Beiersdorf is refusing to allow Migros to buy Nivea brand products in the same conditions of abroad.
In the investigation, Comco is analyzing whether Beiersdorf has a relative market power compared to the migri.
“In this case, it will investigate whether Beiersdorf is abusing this position by charging Migros higher prices for the same Nivea products than retailers comparable abroad,” he said.
Beiersdorf said he could not understand the accusations and collaborate with a paragraph to help clarify the matter. Compliance with the regulations and in particular the antitrust law had the maximum priority for Beiersdorf, said the company in a note.
