Obernadeel. Indian archers have once again waved the country’s glory on the basis of their brilliant performance. On Saturday, the whole country woke up in the joy of gold found in the World Cup. The Indian mixed compound team of Jyoti Surekha Vamn and Rishabh Yadav dusted Chinese Taipei in a very tough final. Indian players defeated their rivals Huang Eye-Jau and Chen Chiha Lun 153–151 to win the gold medal in the Archery World Cup Phase one.
This match was very difficult for the Indian mixed pair. India had not had a good start against Chinese Taipei archers. Surekha and Rishabh lost in both the first series. It seemed that India would have to be satisfied with the silver medal, but in the last two series, such shots were made that the opponents were stunned.
