Success story, isro jobs: If someone tells you that a boy who once used to sell village Golgappa (water puri) in summer, today is working on high-tech machines in ISRO, then you might also be mocked to hear first, but this is not a joke. The hero of this story is Ramdas Hemraj Marbade of Khairbodi, a small village in Gondia district of Maharashtra. This boy of Khairbodi, a small village in Gondia district of Maharashtra, who has ever sold Golgappas on dusty streets.
Pocket was empty, but dreams were big
Ramdas’s childhood was the same as many children in small villages. Jeb was empty, but the treasure of dreams was full. His father was a peon in a government school. I used to handle the house. There was a crisis of money in the house, but there was no shortage of encouragement. Ramdas did his early studies from Ganesh High School in Gondia and from Gumdhwada, after which he. Patel did 12th from college. It was not easy to raise the college fees, so he sold Golgappa during the day and befriended books at night. The college’s regular studies were out of pocket, so he completed BA in BA Private from YCM College, Nashik. Along with studies, he never stopped selling Golgappas, because he had to run a house and also to buy books.
Technology changed fate
Then one day Ramdas Hemraj Marbade understood that there would be nothing from the degree, the technical skill was needed. Ramdas knew that the degree is fine, but the real wonder would be from skills. Just what then? He did a course of ‘pump operator-kam-kanikik’ from ITI in Tiroda. How to learn there, how the Centrifugal pump, how the maintenance of oil equipment is and how to do water purification. The same skill went further to open the doors of ISRO. Here he learned all the practical things from running the Centrifugal and recipecrooting pump to the repair of water purification and oil equipment.
ISRO’s dream, changed in reality
In 2023, when ISRO sought applications for apprentice trainees. Ramdas caught the spot. In 2024, Ramdas took a written examination in Nagpur and passed it. Then also won the skill test in Sriharikota. The moment came in May 2025 when Ramdas received an appointment letter from ISRO. Today, he is working as a pump operator-kam-mechanic at the ISRO Space Center in Sriharikota. Now Ramdas Marbade is a real-time ‘Space Technician’. Sriharikota works on state -of -the -art machines at the space center. Now his day passes in the preparation of rocket mission, not in the water of Panipuri. Now his life is passed in fixing the machines for space missions, not from the plates of Golgappa.
Everything possible with hard work and stubbornness
The story of Ramdas is not just his, but of every person who does not give up even among the difficulties. Ramdas was pulling a dream rocket, not Golgappa’s car. His villagers are proud of him today and we should also do it. This story teaches us that there is no shortcut in life, but if the hard work and stubbornness are together, the seller can also reach the moon. The story of Ramdas is an inspiration for every person who does not give up even in difficulties. He says that dreams are not what they are seen while sleeping, but those who do not let you sleep. His journey from Golgappa’s car to ISRO teaches that any dream can become a reality with hard work and stubbornness.
