South 4M Sales SUV May 2025 – Brezza, Frontx, Punch, Nexon, Sonet

The SUV 4M SUV segment was dominated by Maruti Brezza and Fronx while Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet have also improved their sales numbers

Following our previous report on compact SUV sales in May 2025, now we evaluate sales in the SUS 4M SUV segment. This SUV 4M SUV segment behaved well last month. Sales data grew by 1.77% to 98,966 units, an increase of 97,245 sales of unit of May 2024. This was an improvement in the units of 1,721 in the volumes. Mom’s sales, however, decreased by 3.77% compared to 1.02,845 unitary sales of April 2025 bringing a drop of 3,879 units of volumes.

The subcompate SUV segment, which ranges from 3.8 but 4 m in length, has long been a favorite among the buyers of the country. Known for its strong presence on the road, an improvement in fuel efficiency and competitive prices, sales in this segment are significantly higher than those in the compact SUV segment (4.2 but 4.4 m).

South 4m Sales SUV of May 2025 – Yoy growth

In May 2025, Maruti Brezza on top of this list of sales with 15,566 units sold. In the last two months, the breeze has exceeded previously dominant punch. Last month, breeze sales increased by 9.73% by 14,186 units sold in May 2024 to command a market share of 15.73%. At n. 2, also from the Maruti stables was the front of a YOY growth of 7.12% to 13,584 units, an increase of 12,681 units sold in May 2024.

Tata Punch and its EV counterpart were at number 3 with 13,133 sales of units, falling by 30.69% compared to 18,949 units sold in May 2024 This was an increase of 1,639 units compared to 11,457 units sold in the same month last year.

At n. 5 There was Kia Sonet, whose sales improved by 8.35% on an annual basis at 8,054 units, increasing by 7,433 units sold in May 2024. The drop in double-digit sales was recorded for Mahindra Xuv 3xo of 20.48% to 7,952 units while it was a 19.37% of De-Gowth for the Sales headquarters at 7.520. Exter’s sales are also immersed from 23.36% to 5,899 units in May 2025. The Hyundai and NO line of 2026 headquarters were spied on tests with the launch scheduled for the end of the year.

There were 4,949 units of the relatively new Skoda Kylaq sold last month. He currently commands a market share of 5% in the SUV 4M SUV segment. Kia Syros, another new competitor recorded 3,611 unit sales last month. Toyota Taisor also witnessed a greater demand for 39.22% to 3,035 units sold in May 2025 by 2,180 unitary sales of May 2024.

Nissan Magnite’s sales increased by 39.67% to 1,334 units while Maruti Jimny saw a new demand found in Indian markets with sales increasing by 148.91% to 682 UN by only 274 units sold in May 2024. Renault Kiger sales decreased by 35.18% to 551 units last month, while there were 850 units sold last month.

South 4M Sales SUV of May 2025 – Mom Sales

Despite an annual growth, SUV sales in the sub 4m segment decreased by 3.77% last month compared to sales in April 2025. Most of the models suffered a lower demand. Maruti Brezza and Fronx, both who had seen a strong growth yoy, suffered a decline in the mother. Brezza sales decreased by 8.28% by 16,971 units, while Fronx sales increased by 5.30% over 14,345 sales of April 2025 units.

Tata Punch/EV showed a 5.10% growth of the mother of 12,496 units sold in the previous month, although Tata Nexon/EV sales dropped by 15.27% compared to 15,457 units relating to a drop in the unitary volume of 2,361. It was followed by Kia Sonet, whose sales marginally decreased by 0.17% of mom. A stronger question was recorded for Mahindra Xuv3xo, whose sales improved by 5.07% to 7,952 units in May 2025 by 7,568 unit sales of April 2025.

Sales of the Hyundai headquarters increased by 5.44% but external sales grew by 8.92% compared to unitary sales of 5,416 April 2025, an increase in the volume of 483 units. At the bottom of the sales list there were Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros, both who went down to red by 7.74% and 9.92%. Toyota Tayota sales saw a significant increase in the mother of 25.36% with the jump of sales to 3,035 units of 2,421 units on a mother base.

Nissan Magnite’s sales decreased by 23.73% relating to a drop in the unitary volume of 425, while on the contrary, Maruti Jimny’s sales increased by a robust 58.24% to 682 units from 431 units sold in April 2025. Riddling the list of sales, Renault Kiger had 551 units of sale in the last month, marking a decline of the 9.08%.
