Sikar: After the JEE Advanced exam, IIT Bombay has released the number of BTech and other courses seats. B.Tech has a total of 1006 seats in IIT Bombay. Of these, the highest demand is for 170 seats of computer science, including 68 seats of general category. The second number is mechanical engineering, which has 169 seats.
IIT can take admission in Bombay
IIT Bombay prioritizes Advanced’s toppers and good ranked students every year. This means that only the topper students of JEE Advanced can take admission in IIT Bombay. Here BS in Mathematics and Economics are also good options. After this, IIT is second for Delhi students. Counselor Upendra Sharma said that only JEE Advanced’s topper students get admission in IIT Delhi.
Total 118 seats of Bachelor of Science
IIT Bombay has 118 seats of Bachelor of Science in four subjects, out of which 47 seats for general category students. Here BS degrees are available in Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and Applied Geophysics. The maximum 40 seats are in economics. Education expert Upendra Sharma said that IIT Bombay has strict competition every year for the CSE branch of Bombay, and this is the reason that in the general category this branch closes about 100 rank. At the same time, the closing rank in the reserved category is much lower than the other branch.
