The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has started the online application process for the 2025-26 session. Students of schools and college across the country can take advantage of these scholarship schemes. NSP is a one-stop platform, which helps students in every step, from filling the application form to receiving scholarship amount in their bank account.
What is NSP?
The full form of NSP is the National Scholarship Portal. This is the initiative of the National Egavnance Scheme (NEGP). It is called smart (SIMART: simplified, mission‑orized, accountable, responsive, transparent) portal. Through this, students can get the application, verification, tracking and scholarship amount directly in the bank account from the same place. This makes the process of scholarship fast, transparent and clear. There is no chance of rigging in it.
What kind of scholarship is there?
1- Pre Matric: For Class 1-10 students
2- Post Matriculation: Class 11-PG/Diploma/Professional
3- Merit-Cum-Means: Technical/Professional Course
4- Central Sector UG/PG/PhD Students
5- Arrangement Special: SC/ST ‘Top Class’, UGC/AICTE schemes
Each of these has different eligibility.
Documents required for scholarship
These documents are usually required for the application:
- Aadhaar/base enrollment
- Income/Residence/Category/Bonfied Certificate
- Last exam marksheet
- Bank passbook
- Passport size photograph
- Only institutional verification may be necessary in schemes with less than ₹ 50,000.
