The SBI Clerk Mains exam was held on 10 April and 12 April 2025. A total of 190 questions were asked from General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude and General/Financial Awareness in SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2025 (SBI Clerk Mains 2025 Exam Pattern). This exam was of 200 marks. Candidates were given 2 hours and 40 minutes to attach SBI Clerk Mains Examination.

1. Local Language Test (LPT)

This is a qualifying test. In this, reading, writing and speaking skills are examined in your chosen local language (eg Hindi, Tamil, Marathi etc.). Candidates who have passed their selected language in Mains, can take this exam in 10th/12th. For this, practice basic reading, writing and conversation. It is mandatory to pass LPT for a job in SBI, but its marks do not join the merit list.

2. Document Verification
Required documents in this process: educational certificate (10th, 12th, graduation), identity card (Aadhaar, PAN card etc.), caste/category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/XS/DXS), NOC (if already doing full time jobs), photo, signature and other necessary documents are examined. Keep the original and photocopy of all the documents made mandatory for the clerk job in SBI, make sure they are valid.

3. Final merit list and appointment

Merit List: State/Category-War merit list will be made based on the marks of Mains.

Appointment: After LPT and document verification, candidates included in the final merit list will get appointment letters as Junior Associate.

J joining: You will be allotted a branch in the chosen state.

4. Salary and Job Profile:
Salary: Early salary ₹ 17,900/month (₹ 24,050- ₹ 64,480 with allowances, based on location).

Job Profiles: Customer Service, Account Management, Cash Transaction and Daily Tasks of Branch.

Career Growth: Promotion to PO or higher positions based on time and performance.
