Employees Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a recruitment notification for 437 posts for Combined Hindi Translator (CHT). If you are expert in Hindi and English and are looking for a good government job, then this is a golden opportunity for you. And what will be the exam pattern?

SSC JHT, JT, CHT Recruitment 2025: What is this recruitment?

SSC has extracted 437 Hindi translator posts, which will be filled in different ministers, departments and organizations of the central government. These posts group ‘B’ are non-gazged and include Rolls like Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translator (JT), Senior Hindi Translator (SHT). If you get selected, then you will get more than 44 thousand rupees salary every month.

SSC JHT, JT, SHT, CHT 2025: Who can apply?

To apply for these posts, you should have a masters degree in Hindi from a recognized university. Both English and Hindi should be read as compulsory or alternative subjects. If you have done a diploma or certificate course of translation in Hindi or English, then it will also run.

Edge limit

As far as the age limit is concerned, you should be between 18 and 30 years of age by 1 August 2025. That is, people born before August 2, 1995 and after 1 August 2007 cannot apply. SC/ST will get 5 years, OBC will get 3 years, and PWD will get 10 years discount.

SSC CHT Jobs 2025 Salary: How much salary will be available?

If you get selected then you will get a good salary. For posts like Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translator (JT) and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator), your salary will be available every month from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400. Ceremony Hindi Translator (SHT) and Senior Translator (SHT) posts for posts (SHT) posts every month It will be up to Rs 1,42,400. In this case, allowances like HRA, DA, TA will also be available, which will depend on the location of your posting.

Ssc cht exam 2025: How will the exam be done?

There are three steps in the selection process for this recruitment:
1. Paper-1 (Computer Based Test):

– This will be objective type exam.
-It will have 100-100 questions of General Hindi and General English, Total 200 Marx.
– Time: 2 hours (VH/OH candidates 2 hours 40 minutes).
– There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks on every wrong answer.

2. Paper-2 (Descriptive test):
– This will be a descriptive paper, in which translation and essay will have to be written.
– Total will be of 200 marks.
– Time: 2 hours (VH/OH candidates 2 hours 40 minutes).

3. Document Verification and Medical Test:

– After qualifying both paper, your documents will be checked and medical test will be there.
Exam Date: Paper-1 will be on 12 August 2025.

How much will be charged?

– General, OBC, EWS: Rs 100.
-SC, ST, PWD, X-Serviceman, and Women Candidates: Free.
Fees have to be deposited from online mode (net banking, debit/credit card, bhim upi).

1. Go to the official website of SSC ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on the online application button on the homepage.
3. If you are a new user, first register, then login.
4. Fill all your details (personal and educational) in the form.
5. Upload essential documents (eg marksheet, photo, signature).
6. deposit the fees (if applicable).
7. Submit the form and take out the printout and keep it out.

Last date to apply: 26 June 2025 (till 11 pm).
Last date for depositing fees: 27 June 2025.
Date of correction in form: 1 to 2 July 2025.
