Samsung Electronics has declared on Sunday that she will adopt an artificial intelligence coding assistant (AI) called Cline next month to improve productivity among its software development employees.In a recent internal notice, the company has declared that it had launched a beta cline test for employees in the Device Experience (DX) division, which includes its furniture, TV and appliance companies, reports the Yonhap news agency.

CLINE is an open source artificial intelligence tool that helps developers to write, modify and test the code using simple commands in natural language such as “creates an access function”. Unlike conventional coding assistants limited to basic tasks, Cline can manage more complex software development processes, significantly increasing productivity.

Samsung plans to continue the beta test until the end of this month and aims to launch the official version already next month.As part of its transition in a company led by the AI, Samsung has also set up a group dedicated to the productivity of the AI ​​in its DX division.

The new group acts as a central control tower, supervising the development of infrastructure and systems at the corporate level, while supporting the implementation of artificial intelligence tools between the company divisions.

In the meantime, Samsung will hold on the executive levels at the end of this month to discuss commercial strategies for the second half of the year.

The global strategy meetings for the company’s electronic division are scheduled for June 17-19, according to sources.Samsung holds these meetings twice a year, in June and December, led by the garments of every commercial division. They examine the regional and specific business issues, as well as discuss the objectives and sales strategies next year.

This year’s agenda should include strategies for navigation increasing global uncertainties, including the changing commercial policies of the second administration of the President of the United States Donald Trump. Participants will also evaluate the vulnerabilities of the supply chain and take into consideration the specific responses of the Region, have affirmed the sources.

Roh Tae-Moon, head of the Experience division (DX) and Jun Young-Hyun, head of the DSE Device Solutions (DS) division, will preside over the meetings.

As in previous years, the executive president Lee Jae-Yong should not participate in the meetings, they said.

The DS division, which supervises Samsung semiconductor business, should keep in -depth discussions on sales strategies and ways to increase long -term competitiveness.
