Review of the Joybird Eliot Sleeper sofa sofa: splendid and functional

In 2020, My colleague Scott Gilbertson tried the Joybird Eliot sofa. And he hated him. Since then, Joybird Eliot has been the only choice in the “avoid” section of our guide to the purchase of sofas. When Joybird tried to explain that he had renewed Eliot (and his customer service – more later), I was skeptical in trying it. But I did it for you, reader, and I am happy to report that after three months of testing, this improved sofa earns a vote of passage in my book.

Each Joybird Eliot sofa is a personalized and ordered affair. Eliot is available in different styles and configurations. I opted to try the dormant sofa, since I was hunting for a good sofa with an integrated bed for our purchase guide. Joybird sent me a sample kit full of delicious fabric squares in a rainbow of colors. (Customers can also get this kit for free.) There are almost 80 different fabrics to choose from, including options for pets and lush business of velvet. Some of these fabrics add a supplement.

After sifting the champions for a few days, I opted for the Royale Berry, a resistant and luxurious pink velvet that has been labeled as suitable for pets and stains resistant. The mattress had two options: Standard Memory Foam or Tempur-Restonse (yes, from Tempur-Padic). The website has useful tools such as AR display, as well as specific size so that you can measure your space or for delivery.

There are some advantages and some disadvantages of this process. Since sofas are tailor -made, the production process can take weeks. The delivery of my sofa required less than 10 minutes and the team brought the packaging materials with it.

The sofa seemed even better than I imagined, with well -built cushions and even seams. It has two seat cushions and two rear cushions, with a removable sofa bed. I like the modern style of the middle of the century, which merges well with the rest of my house, and the velvet fabric aboard berries is soft and luxurious to the touch. It is also resistant and resistant to spots, and is well detained to numerous escapes. I love the way it appears in my stay and I had many servants who say the same thing.

One of Scott’s largest complaints about this sofa has been the irregular distribution, which since then Joybird has reworked. The company declared that it had redesigned the corner blocks, regulated the cushioning and worked with the supplier to improve the quilted buttons. Some specific Eliot models have received further changes, such as a further support range. My sofa even has a filling distribution, and even if they are the type of person who is in the same point on the sofa for hours every day (usually I work from the stay), mine has resisted well and remains at ease to sit. It is a little still, that I like in my sofas: I don’t have that feeling of sinking and blocked that I have with some previous sofas that I have tested.
