Retail sales 2W May 2025 – Hero, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Ola

Several positive factors led to an improvement in 2W retail sales sales which showed strong performance in May 2025 with a 7.3% growth on an annual basis

Fada (Federation of the Association of Automobilistic Dealers) revealed the sales data for May 2025. While the cars segment witnessed a decline Yoy, the 2W category recorded a strong increase of 7.31%. In the 2W segment, there were 16.52,637 units sold in May 2025, compared to 15.40,077 units sold in May 2024.

Mom’s sales, however, underwent a de-culture of 2.02% compared to 16.86,774 units sold in April 2025. Hero Motocorp has exceeded the list of sales with 4,99,036 sales of units last month. It was an increase in the unitary volume of 52,632 4.46,404 units sold in May 2024. The company also saw its market share improve from 28.99% to 30.20% on an annual basis.

At n. 2 was Honda with 3,93,383 units sold in May 2025, in the margin of 23.92,030 units sold in the same month last year. Honda’s market share is currently 23.80%/ TV sales sales significantly improved last month to 3.09,285 units, increasing unit sales of 2.63,977 of May 2024. It was a marked growth of the volume of 45.308 units.

In fourth position there was Bajaj Auto with 1.84,831 sales of units, compared to 1.75,535 units sold in May 2024. The market share dropped to 11.18% from 11.40% on an annual basis.

2W retail sales of Lakh 2W May 2025 unit

Suzuki retail sales grew up to 87,519 units last month. This was an increase in the volume of 5,227 units compared to 82,292 units sold in May 2024. Royal Enfield in 6th place represented 76,608 sales of units which was a growth of over 64,577 units sold in May 2024

Detail sales Yamaha Motor 2W were immersed at 50,388 units last month. This was significantly lower than unit sales 54,679 of May 2024. It referred to a loss of volume of 4,291 units. Ola’s electrical sales have undergone a strong drop. Sales dropped to 18,501 units in May 2025 from 37,389 units sold in May 2024 when the company had ruled the electric two -wheeled electric segment. The market share also drastically fell to 1.12% from 2.43% on an annual basis.

Ather Energy Sales has improved twice. Sales have gone to 12,856 units in the last month of 6,154 units sold in the same month last year taking market shares at 0.78% from 0.40%. Ather Rizta has contributed to this greater growth since sales reach 1 milestone within one year from the launch.

Below the sale list, but to mark a huge growth of Yoy sales, it was Greaves Electric. The company represented retail sales of 4,178 units sold last month. It was a Forte Yoy greater than 1,958 units sold in May 2024. Piaggio and classic legends have undergone a drop in Yoy in retail demand up to 2,355 units and 1,965 units respectively. There were others in this list that added 11,732 total sales units, marking a yoy growth of 9,489 units sold in May 2024.
