What is the matter
The case begins in 2000. On January 24, 2000, Manoj Kumar and his driver Ravi Srivastava were going from Tata Sumo to Rewa from Lucknow. He seated 6 people in the car near Charbagh station. A report by News18 states that according to the UP police, these people also included Koland’s wife Phoolan Devi. Allegedly, Kumar and his driver had no idea that they were being implicated in the trap.
His last location was then found in Harchandpur, Rae Bareli, where he was seen at a tea shop. But where did the two go after this, nothing was found. Even after 3 days, when no news was received, Manoj’s father Shiv Harsh Singh lodged a missing report at Naka Hindola police station in Lucknow. The police also searched a lot but no clue was found.

Then dead bodies found in the forest near Shankargarh
Then a few weeks later his naked and mutilated bodies were found in a forest near Shankargarh in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. After this, when the investigation proceeded further, the wire reached King Kolandar. The police arrested Raja Kolandar and his brother -in -law. Then the reality that came out in the inquiry kept the people’s senses. In 2001, the police filed a charge sheet. However, despite this, there was very little progress in the case in the next decade. More than a decade later, the investigation accelerated after getting new clues during an investigation into a separate murder in 2013.
In addition to these murders, Kolendar also killed Dhirendra Singh, a journalist. Singh’s beheaded body was recovered, new revelations were made in this heinous murder case. During the investigation, the police gradually reached Kolandar’s farmhouse. Police recovered 14 human skulls from his farm house. The diary of the names of the victims and many belongings of those killed were also found. These included Phoolan Devi’s sticker -colored Tata Sumo.

Allegedly confessing the crime, Kolendar told the police that he felt that his victims, especially the people of Kayastha community, would increase their intellect. He is believed to have killed at least 14 people. After this it was revealed that King Kolandar is not only a killer but a cannibal. After cutting the head of the dead humans, he used to send them to the soup and drink it.
The hearing started in 2013 and now 25 years later in 2025, Raja Kolandar and his brother -in -law Vaksharaj Cole have been sentenced to life imprisonment. During the court hearing, the government prosecutor proved that it was a plan murder on the basis of the testimony of 12 witnesses, including kidnapping, robbery and ruthless murder.

According to the police, Kolandar was suffering from power, superstition and ritualistic killings. Clainndar, claiming his innocence in the first court, said that he was a victim of a political conspiracy. However, forensic evidence and testimony of eyewitnesses did not support his claims.
First convicted in 2012
Kolandar was first convicted for the murder of journalist Dhirendra Singh in 2012. This was a case that the Allahabad High Court described the “rare” due to its ruthless nature and psychological terror. With Friday’s decision, both Kolendar and Vakshraj will continue to serve their life imprisonment in Unnao District Jail. Both decorating will run together.
