Jodhpur In Rajasthan, the situation of confusion among the candidates for the first grade teacher recruitment examination is deepening. The First Grade Teacher Recruitment Examination is being conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission from 23 June to 4 July. At the same time, the UGC has announced the date of the NET exam to be held at the national level from 25 to 30 June. There are a large number of candidates who appear in both these examinations. In such a situation, the challenge has arisen in front of the candidates, which examination they should give priority.

However, RPSC recently made a press conference and clarified that no change will be made in the dates of first grade recruitment. Whereas when such a situation was created in states like Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, the governments and Public Service Commissions gave relief to the candidates by changing the dates of examinations. The people of Jodhpur say that the Rajasthan government and RPSC should also take appropriate decisions keeping in mind the interests of the candidates.

RPSC stance and students trouble
Vikram Singh, Director of The Vygen IAS, Jodhpur, said that the new chairman of RPSC has clarified that the government’s intention is to conduct the examination on the fixed date. He says that UGC is only the eligibility test, while the First Grade Recruitment Exam is directly related to employment. Due to this, the focus of RPSC is on providing employment and postponement is not currently on the agenda. But the opinion of the students is exactly the opposite. They are saying that UGC NET is equally important for his career. If the date of the examination is made 1 or 2 days changes, then they can appear in both the examinations. Since the examination dates of UGC and RPSC in three subjects are colliding with each other, it is injustice to such candidates with both opportunities.

Students’ Appeal- Change in exam dates

Students say that RPSC should show sensitivity in view of the dates of UGC NET exam. Thousands of students can be relieved by making a slight change in the exam date. Students also say that if one examination is related to the job, then another is also an important stage in the preparation of future. He says that when RPSC was already aware that UGC NET exam is going to be held on these dates, then why the conflicts of the dates were allowed. Now when the situation is clear, they should take corrective steps. Students demand that the Commission should seriously reconsider this subject so that they can get justice.

Candidates accused- playing with the future
Candidate Pintu Saraswat said that children are being played with. If the government wants to be recruited in the right, then conduct the process with complete preparation and honesty. Students should be given an opportunity to sit in both UGC NET and RPSC exams. He also said that if this exam is just a Khanapurti and as before, there is a process of appointing your loved ones in a corrupt manner, then it will be a great injustice to the children. He appealed to the new president of RPSC to reconsider this decision and bring the necessary flexibility in the exam dates keeping in mind the future of the students. The only demand of the candidates is that they should get full opportunity for their hard work so that they can move forward through fair and honest selection process.
