The total operational income in the March quarter of NTPC also increased to ₹ 49,833.70 crore. It was ₹ 47,628.19 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.
How was NTPC performance throughout the financial year?
The country’s largest power company NTPC has also recorded a solid lead in net profit during the entire financial year 2024-25. The company’s total net profit in FY25 was ₹ 23,953.15 crore, which is more than ₹ 21,332.45 crore of FY24.
During the same period, the company’s annual operation was ₹ 1,88,138.06 crore, which was ₹ 1,78,524.80 crore a year ago. This is an annual growth of 5.4%.
NTPC also announced dividend
The board of directors of NTPC have announced a final dividend of ₹ 3.35 per share for FY25. This is 33.50% of face value. It will be distributed after the approval of shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM). Earlier, the company had also released two interim dividends- in November and February at ₹ 2.50 per share.
Performing NTPC Green Energy
NTPC’s Renewable Energy Unit NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has also performed vigorously in the March 2025 quarter. The company has recorded a net profit of ₹ 233.21 crore in this quarter, which is about three times the ₹ 80.95 crore in the same quarter of FY24. The total expenditure of NGEL was ₹ 444.63 crore, which was ₹ 425.84 crore a year ago.
In FY25, NGEL raised ₹ 10,000 crore by releasing a new issue of 92.63 crore equity shares with ₹ 10 face value. Its shares were listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
NTPC shares
NTPC shares closed at Rs 344.60 with a gain of 0.94% on Friday. The shares have declined by 5.12% during the last one month. However, this year i.e. in 2025, NTPC’s stocks have given a return of 3.28%. The company’s market cap is 3.34 lakh crores.
