In line with his commitment to users’ safety, Maruti has continually updated the safety package in his cars. The efforts made its fruits, as highlighted by the recent 5 -star NCAP Bharat security evaluation assigned to the brand new Maruti Dzire. This is a significant milestone, since Dzire is now the first sedan in India to receive this recognition. Take a look at the details.
Safety equipment of the tested model
Similar to global NCAP, Bharat Ncap is a voluntary security evaluation program. The brand new Maruti Dzire tested (Petrol-LXI 1.2L ISS 5MT) was equipped with front airbags, airbag for tenders with a side head, side thoracic airbag, belt pretender, belt load limiter and isofix.
Safety assistance technologies included ESC, pedestrian protection and seat belt reminder. The 5 -star NCAP Bharat evaluation is applicable to other variations to late. That is to say, VXI 1.2L ISS 5MT, ZXI 1.2L ISS 5MT, ZXI+ 1.2L ISS 5MT, Tour S 1.2L ISS 5MT, VXI 1.2L ISS AGS, ZXI 1.2L ISS AGS and ZXI+ 1.2L ISS AGS.
New Dzire Bharat NCAP – Protection for adult occupants
In adult occupants’ protection tests, the new Maruti Dzire received a 5 -star evaluation. And a total score of 29.46 out of 32 points. And in the deformable barrier test in frontal offset, Dzire scored 14.17 on 16 points. In the deformable side mobile barrier test, the points were 15.29 on 16.00.



In front crash crashes, the protection of the driver’s chest was found “marginal”. The protection to all other parts of the relevant body has been evaluated good or adequate. Similar results were detected with the side barrier and impact tests on the side center.



New Dzire Bharat NCAP – Protection for Children’s Occupants
A 5 -star evaluation was assigned to the new dzire in the protection tests of childhood occupants, with a total score of 41.57 on 49 points. The dynamic score was 23.57 on 24 points, while 12 out of 12 points were given for the installation of CRS. In the vehicle evaluation, the score was 6 points out of 13.
New Maruti Baleno has assigned the 4 -star NCAP Bharat evaluation
Together with the new Dzire, Bharat Ncap also tested the New Age Baleno. The Premium Portello received a 4 -star evaluation in the protection of adult occupants, with a total score of 26.52 on 32 points. The protection of children’s occupants was evaluated to 3 stars, with a total score of 34.81 on 49 points. Baleno’s security kit is largely the same as that of the new Dzire. There are only a few exceptions such as the Airbag of the side basin, which is not available with dramatically.



All the marid cars to get 6 standard airbags
In the future, Maruti will bring further improvements to the safety package offered with its cars. For example, 6-Airbag will be made a standard feature on all models and all variants by the end of this year. Starting now, 6-Airbag are offered as standard with 10 maruti-high cars K10, Celerio, Wagonr, Eeco, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Grand Vitara, Jimny and Invicto. Maruti has already made the electronic stability program (ESP) a standard feature in all models and variants.
