These children will be forgiven
Under this scheme, selected students will be given full fee waiver under the EWS (Economically weaker section) scheme. University Vice Chancellor Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma said that this decision is an attempt to connect those children with mainstream education, who have lost parents for Kovid-19 or other reasons. He also clarified that the university will try to provide additional financial assistance to these students under government schemes.
For the first time in the country, a university took such a step
IP University has become the first such high educational institution in the country to arrange a 100% fee waiver with reserved quota for orphaned children. This will not only promote inclusion in education, but will also help in connecting the needy children with the mainstream of the society. Detailed guidelines will soon be released on the official website of the university.
New educational initiatives were also announced
Many other important decisions have also been taken in the recent meeting of the Academic Council. These include the following.
Special PhD Program for working professionals- PhD facility will be started for those who want to do higher studies while in jobs.
Lateral Entry in MBA (Fire and Industrial Safety)- In this course, enrollment will now be possible through lateral entry.
Certificate course in foreign languages- Other popular languages including Spanish will be included in the certificate program.
New degree and diploma courses will start
BA-MA (5 year old philosophy course)
B.Ed Special Education (in 3 subjects, 4 -year course)
Post-MSC Diploma in Radiological Physics
MSc Microbiology and other certificate programs
Apart from these, the Narela campus will soon be completely operational, so that students can get better facilities.
