Mukul Dev Demise Actor replaced by Saif Ali Khan in Preity Zinta Film Kya Kehna

The film ‘Kya Kehna’ released in 2000 was produced by Ramesh Taurani which was a hit at the box office. Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta were in the lead roles in this film. Although before Saif, the makers cast Mukul Dev as the lead actor, but due to a mistake of Mukul, the film came out of his hand.

Ramesh Taurani himself revealed in a conversation with Shosha that Mukul Dev was the first choice to say. He said- ‘Actually, Saif did not have to say. Mukul Dev was about to do it. But he did not come on the set on the first day of shooting. At around 11 am, someone called him from the production and asked him where he was and he said that he was coming. He called again in the afternoon and he said that he is outside RK Studio, but he never came. The producer told that in such a situation, he removed Mukul Dev and cast Saif in the film.

The film maker further said- ‘Our set was ready, we had to start shooting. I decided to call Saif. I asked if he would be free to meet in the evening and he said that he would come. Then I was told that Mukul Dev came to the office. I said that I am not interested in talking to him, and he should go back home. But he kept waiting outside. When we were leaving to meet Saif, I talked to him. Ramesh Taurani told that he told Mukul Dev that he had broken his trust and now he will have to return his signing amount of Rs 50,000.
