Mg sales sales surge on back of evs, windsor maintains first position in segment

Mg Motor may soon offer a variant with a big battery pack of 50.6 kwh. Its range can be about 400 kilometers in single charge. In this, some adas features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Autonomous Emergency Brakes can be found. However, the price of the new variant can be about four lakh rupees more.

The company has made the Windsor EV available in three variants. Its prices are between about Rs 14 lakh to about Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). Mg motor The EV portfolio of KIS includes COMET EV, Windsor EV and ZS EV. The manufacturing of this electric crossover is being done in the Halol factory of MG Motor in Gujarat. To fulfill its increasing demand, the company has prepared to increase the capacity of its factory. Tata Motors have the highest stake in EV market. The battery of this electric crossover is being given eight years or 1,60,000 km of warranty.

On Dussehra last year, the company started delivery to the customers of Windsor EV. It has LED lights connected to both front and rear. It has a sedan’s comfort and SUV -like space. This electric crossover is compete with Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon Ev. Its front is the Mg logo below the LED DRL strip connected to its front. It has a charging port on the front left fender. It has been made available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black. This is the first EV for which the option of battery as a service is available. With this option, the initial price of Windsor EV will decrease. However, it will have to pay a battery rental in addition to per kilometer.
