Mattel has collaborated with Openai to develop toys and games based on artificial intelligence. With this move, Barbie’s manufacturer is planning to face the drop in demand in the toy market. The toy manufacturer has announced that it aims to launch its first product based on artificial intelligence by the end of the year. The company, which also produces hot wheels and cards one, has declared that Openi “will bring the magic of the AI to the game experiences adapted to age with an emphasis on innovation, privacy and safety”. This initiative comes when the toy manufacturers surf in a reduced demand period. According to reports, consumers have limited their expenditure in anticipation of the economic impact of the evolution commercial policy of the President of the United States Trump.
What Mattel and Openai said about their partnership
“Each of our products and experiences is designed to inspire fans, entertain the public and enrich life through the game. The IA has the power to expand on that mission and expand the scope of our brands in new and exciting ways. Our work with Openi will allow us to exploit new technologies to consolidate our leadership in innovation and reimagine new forms of game”. Josh Silverman, Mattel’s Chief Franchise Officer said.This means that Mattel is also planning to integrate the advanced tools of Openai, such as Chatgpt Enterprise, in his operations to guide the innovation of the product.

Last month, the company also withdrawn the annual forecasts and announced price increases on some internal products to help compensate the increase in the costs of the supply chain.
