The company’s XEV 9E and BE 6 have received good response from customers. Recently, Mahindra had said that the delivery of these two electric SUVs has exceeded 3,000 units in about three weeks. Of these, the company got about 59 percent from the total bookings for the XEV 9E. The company has said that most of the customers have chosen the premium variant of these electric SUVs. This is indicating more interest of customers in high-end features. The waiting period in some areas has increased to six months due to high demand for XEV 9E and BE 6. Mahindra has said that manufacturing and delivery capacity is being increased to fulfill their increasing demand.
Recently, Mahindra had told that there would not be a condition to buy charger with BE6 and XEV 9E electric SUVs. The company earlier made it mandatory to buy certified charger from Mahindra with both these electric SUVs. However, the condition was removed on the basis of feedback from customers. Customers of BE6 and XEV 9E were mandatory for the 11.2 kW battery pack to pay around Rs 75,000 from the charger and about Rs 50,000 for a charger of 7.2 kW. However, Mahindra has given the option not to choose it by changing her policy. If the customers have a charger to complete the safety standard of Mahindra, then they can avoid this cost.
