Mahindra new platform teased – debut on August 15th

Mahindra Auto is working on several projects behind the scenes and we have seen most of their tests on public roads. We are talking about Be Rall-E, XUV3XO EV, 2025 Scorpion N, XUV700, XEV 7E and a new bolero. There is also something more beer in the background, which was made fun of for the first time. Let’s take a closer look.

Mahindra new platform teased

On August 15, Mahindra is preparing to show a new platform for its future products. This is called NFA Platform (new flexible architecture), which could take a new name while Mahindra considers it appropriate. Freedom Nu could be that name as suggested by Mahindra’s recent teaser who have gone live on their social media platforms.

The company is destined to reveal this platform on the day of independence of India on August 15th in Mumbai City. The caption of this teaser recited “Freedom obtains a NU expression on this day of independence while we show a bold NU vision for the future. Even the hashtag used on this post had Freedom_nu together with Mahindra Auto and Mahindra Electric Origin SUV.

It is interesting to see that the teaser was published by Mahindra Automotive, which is the ICE division, but the teaser also presents the MAHINDRA electric SUV logo and the hashtags. This indicates that this new Freedom Nu platform could be designed to host ice and electric engines.

If we are deducing potential details, we can add that the teaser had four vertical stripes in the background that could mean this platform to support four fuel options. These include petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid (petrol + electric). Whatever it is, the day of independence of India will be put on display on August 15, 2025.

Which vehicles can this platform support?

To begin with, there are hypothesizes that the new Bolero that is currently being tested in India, is positioned on this NFA or Freedom Nu platform. This is a Monocoque platform that is said will debut with the new sports of Bolero or Thar (both not confirmed names) some time in 2026 or beyond.

There are rumors about Mahindra who works on hybrid engine. Mahindra’s implementation is hypothesized to be of an extensor Phevs and not self-gradance (strong hybrid) with punished batteries and pure electric range. Phevs could potentially fill the gap between ice and electric vehicles and Mahindra will be the first car manufacturer in India to make Phevs mainstream.
