The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspended the food license of the rapid Blinkit Commercial Platform in the Balewadi area of Punne for not complying with the regulations.
This happens after the authorities have intensified the surveillance of dark shops between concerns about food safety and hygiene in these structures.
The Maharashtra FDA conducted an investigation on June 5 and discovered that the structure did not have a license from the food safety authority and the India standards for the production, distribution or sale of food products.
Following this, the license for the food activities of the structure was suspended up to the license requested pursuant to section 31 (1) of the safety and food standards, 2006.
Despite the lack of a license, the blinkit structure, managed by M/S Energy Darkstore Services near the Mitcon College of Balewadi, was keeping and selling food products.Blinkit did not answer detailed questions about the matter.
In the same order, the authorities noticed that the structure had also violated food safety measures. They found food products on the floor, the audit control audit of missing parasites, workers in the food area that do not wear protective hats, food stored on dusty racks and cold storage without a calibration certificate.

Violations included fungal growth on food articles, the conservation of foods near stagnant water, the unrealized cold storage temperature and the expired food not separated from the main stock, according to a printing from the FDA.
