Hong Kong’s privacy guard Dog said on Monday that he was investigating a loss of data to Louis Vuitton that hit about 419,000 customers, immediately after a computer attack on the luxury brand in South Korea in June.The leaked data included names, passport details, addresses and addresses and -mail, as well as telephone numbers, shopping chronology and product preferences, the office of the privacy commissioner of Hong Kong for the personal data established in a declaration via e -mail.
Louis Vuitton presented the data violation accident to the office on July 17th. His French headquarters found suspicious activities on his computer system on June 13 and then discovered on July 2nd which affected Hong Kong customers, says the note.
The office said she started an investigation into Louis Vuitton Hong Kong, including if the accident involved a delayed notification. So far no complaints or relevant requests have been received. The accident comes after a violation of the systems in Louis Vuitton in Korea in June led to the loss of some customer data, including contact information, but did not involve the financial information of the customers, said the company.
Louis Vuitton did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
