What is Mentle?
Our earth has mainly three layers. Among them, the top surface, which has water, soil, life etc., is called crust. Below it is a mantle made of mineral substances, which goes to the most inner and third layer-core. It is said about the core that it is full of liquids where there is so much heat that no object can be present in solid form. The question is how the ocean was detected inside 700 km of the earth? Scientists enlisted the help of sesmograph in this work. Seassemographs were arranged across America. These are waves that can go deep under the earth and give information about the internal structure of our earth. Scientists studied more than 500 earthquake shakes. They came to know that while passing through mental, the speed of waves decreases in a certain area. This showed scientists that there is water among rocks.
However, it will not be directly called the ocean, as it is a water crusty stuck inside a crustal structure. Scientists believe that this water plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the oceans on the earth. If this water was on the surface, then only the mountains would be seen on the earth as a land.
