The talented swimmer Bhumi Gupta of Chhattisgarh has once again illuminated the name of the state. Bhumi Gupta, who was honored with Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Awards and known as ‘Jalpari’ of Chhattisgarh, has been selected in the Indian team for the upcoming 55th Singapore International Swimming Competition. With this achievement, there is a wave of happiness not only in Chhattisgarh, but in the whole country.

This prestigious competition will be held in Singapore from 18 to 23 March. Bhoomi will leave for Singapore from New Delhi on March 15 with its team. The Indian Swimming Association has also issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the land, making its official announcement.

Bhoomi Gupta, who hails from Korba, has been selected in the open category of the age group of more than 18 years. His achievement has proved that if an effort is made with dedication and hard work, then any position can be achieved.

His tireless hard work and dedication is the significant contribution behind this success of the land. He recently performed brilliantly at the 38th National Games held in Haldwani, Uttarakhand from 29 January to 4 February 2025. In this competition, he raised the value of Chhattisgarh by winning a bronze medal in 200 meter individual middle.

Bhoomi won this medal by taking 2 minutes 29:54 seconds, which is his best performance ever. He qualified for the final in three events in this championship and waved Chhattisgarh. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the entire Korba district due to the selection of Bhumi Gupta in the Singapore International Swimming Competition. People are congratulating him and hoping that she will win a medal for the country by performing brilliantly in this competition too.
