

Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to borrow the propulsion options from Hyundai Creta Electric, offering a range of about 400-450 km
As part of its long -term strategy for India, Kia aims to build its EV portfolio of the mass market. The current offers, EV6 and EV9, are imported as CBUS. For the mainstream segment, Kia’s first electric offer will be Carens Clavis EV. We discuss some new details, as revealed in the latest shots of spy shared by the automotive enthusiastic Manuraj.
Kia Carens Clavis EV – Key features
In addition to being the first EV of the Kia mass market in India, Carens Clavis Ev will also be the first 7 -seater electric MPV of the mass market of India. This will allow Kia to take full control, dominate this space and establish an initial advantage. Visually, Clavis Ev will be largely the same as the newly launched Kia Carens of Kia Clavis. However, there will be specific distinctive features for EV as a charging door mounted on the front and the Badge EV.



Test vehicles suggested the possibility that the primary lighting configuration is the same as Carens Clavis. Includes MFR Cube Ice and Drl Led MAPT LED headlights with integrated turning point. But Clavis EV will receive some additional features such as a LED element with full width that connects the DRLs to the front. The side profile seems largely the same, although Clavis EV can be seen with aero-optimized alloy wheels.
The list of equipment for Clavis EV will be largely the same as seen with the Clavis ice. Some of the keystrokes keystrokes include two 12.3 -inch displays, Bose audio system with 8 speakers, panoramic opening roof and ventilated front seats. In addition, the seat of the powered driver, 64 -colored environmental lighting, wireless charging, electrical seats in touch and the air purifier. The safety kit will include level 2 Ada with over 20 features.



Carens Clavis EV – Performance, Range
In an attempt to reduce development costs, Kia can equip the Carens Clavis EV with the same engine used in the Hyundai Creta Electric. The latter is offered with two battery pack options of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The certified range is 390 km with the smaller battery pack and 473 km with the larger unit (as per MIDC cycle Part 1 + part 2). Both variants have an electric motor mounted on the front axle, generating 135 PS and 171 PS respectively.



Similar specifications are provided with Carens Clavis EV. However, the interval could be lower for Clavis EV due to its heaviest profile. Focus will be on the guarantee of a regular performance and a family -oriented guide. Some specific features for EV are provided with Clavis EV as a dependent vehicle (V2L) and charging from vehicle to vehicle (V2V).
Kia Carens Clavis EV launch date
Kia should launch Carens Clavis EV in July 2025. Prices could start about 16-18 Lakh. The main variants may have a price of about 23-24 Lakh. After Carens Clavis EV, Kia could add other electric vehicles of the mass market to its wallet. The possibilities include Syros Ev and Selos Ev. Later, Kia could also launch Ev3 and EV5 in India.
