Khelo India Winter Games 2025 ended. The army won the most medals. Himachal Pradesh was at number two and Ladakh was at number three. This was the fifth edition of these games.

Anshul Talmale, Gulmarg: Under the Khelo India initiative of the Government of India, the fifth season of Khelo India Winter Games 2025 (KIWG 2025) has come to an end. Winter Games were played in two phases. The first phase was held in Ladakh from 23 to 27 January while the second started on 9 March in Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir and ended on 12th. The second season was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Governor Manoj Sinha while Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reached the closing ceremony.
19 teams and more than 400 players
In the 2025 edition of KIWG, more than 400 athletes from 19 teams from states, union territories and institutions participated in six winter games. The team championship format was followed at the Khelo India Winter Games, where medals earned by individual athletes or teams contribute to their respective state, union territories or total number of institutions.

Four games held in Gulmarg
The second phase of KIWG in Jammu and Kashmir included four games – alpine skiing, nordic skiing, ski mountaineering and snowboarding. Gulmarg’s Congress Phase 1 and Golf Course Club were the venue. In the first round held in Ladakh, the players competed with each other in ice hockey and ice skating in the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Sports Complex and Gufuk Talab.
