Khelo India University Games: Girls of Kanpur University made a place in Khelo India Games 2025

Khelo India University Games: Anshika, Ritu and Yuktisha, three promising students of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University of Kanpur, have made their place in Khelo India University Games 2025. These students performed brilliantly in the 50m Rifle 3 position event of the All India Inter -University Shooting Competition (Women). This competition was held from 8 January 2025 to 18 January 2025 at Punjab University, Chandigarh. These students got 574 scores and ensured their selection. With this achievement, the name of the university and the entire Kanpur has been illuminated.

Success from excellent performance
Anshika and Yuktisha are both students of BPS course in the Department of Physical Education and they took admission under sports quota. Ritu, Chaudhary Sudhar Singh Academy, is a student of Etawah, who is affiliated to the university. The three worked hard and performed brilliantly in this competition. These students not only illuminated the name of their university, but also achieved a chance to play in Khelo India University Games 2025 by scoring the best in this competition.

Vice Chancellor congratulated
University Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak expressed happiness over the achievement of these girl students. He said that this success shows the sports culture of the university. He also assured that all possible help will be given to the players from the university so that they can perform their best. The Vice Chancellor said that the university is committed to promote sports and special schemes will be run for the players.

Dream of playing for the country
The selected players said that their dream is to play for the country in future and illuminate the name of India internationally. She said that she is preparing for the Olympics 2028 and is working hard under the guidance of coach Chandra Mohan Tiwari. Koch Chandra Mohan Tiwari himself has been an international gold medalist and now he is training these young players. The goal is to win the medal for India in Olympics and other international competitions in future.
