Kenvue is exploring the sale of some of his brands for the health and beauty of the skin, four people who are familiar with the question on Thursday, since the healthcare company of Consumer Punnes a business segment that are not very performing to focus on the main products.The company, which was released by Johnson & Johnson in 2023, is focusing on smaller brands in the unit to be sold as Clean & Clear, Maui humidity, neostrata, his German brand for the care of the child Bebe and the Japanese brand Dr.Ci: Labo, the sources said.
It plans to retain the greatest names of the unit, such as neutrogen and aveno, said the sources. There are about a dozen brands in the health and beauty unit of the skin and sources have warned that the transfer package could change and no agreement has been guaranteed.
Goldman Sachs investment bankers are working with Kenvue in the disinvestment process, they added. Kenvue and Goldman refused to comment.
The brands of about half a dozen destined for sale would like more than 500 million dollars of revenue together, two of the sources said, a small part of the overall revenues of Kenvue, which was $ 15.5 billion in 2024.
The Skin Health and Beauty unit was a resistance on Kenvue’s earnings, but the company has dedicated more money to marketing, in particular on neutrogenic advertising campaigns. The biological sales of the unit decreased by 4.8% on an annual basis in the last quarter of Kenvue which ended on March 30th.
Kenvue, who also produces Tylenol and Aids, has faced the pressure of activists in the last year from the Tribord value, from the management of capital Toms and from the third point. He settled with the tip in March, when he added the founder of the investment company to his Council.
Some activists have prompted the company to consider the sale or some brands.
In May, the company brought the new financial director Amit Banati from Kellanova, the Kellogg snack unit.
