NEET Ug Counseling Tips: Passing NEET UG is the first step towards becoming a doctor, but even more important it is important that you complete the counseling process wisely. Many students focus only on passing the exam, but the correct counseling decides whether you will get the desired college or not. Below is some important things related to NEET UG counseling, knowing which you can increase the opportunity to get your seat.

Who does counseling? Understand both levels

Counseling is done at two levels after NEET results come.
15% AIQ – It is the responsibility of MCC (Medical Counseling Committee).
85% state quota – It does its own counseling authority of every state.
Many times students do only one level of counseling and do not apply for another, which reduces the opportunities to get seats. Registration in both is necessary.

Register on time and carefully

Counseling registration starts within a few days of NEET result. You have to register by visiting the website of MCC or State Counseling. For this, do not make a single mistake in name, roll number, marks, documents etc. In some states, residence certificates, category certificates etc. are required, keep them ready in advance.

Learn and change from mock allotment

Some states have mock allotment, which shows which college you can get according to your rank. With this you can know whether your choice is correct or not. Based on this, you can revise your choice list again.

10th and 12th marksheet

Understand the option of seat upgradation and exit

If you are not satisfied with the seat you are not satisfied, then you can choose the option of upgradation in the next round. For this, keep in mind the things given below.
Exit is not allowed in some counseling processes after round 2.
If you accept the seat and do not participate in the round ahead, then the same seat will be considered.
