The head of the state unit of the Jitu Patwari Congress wrote to the home union and the cooperative minister Amit Shah, making alarm on what defined the rapid decline of the “Sanchi” flagship branded brand following its merger with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).In a letter to Shah, he said that the merger did not benefit from consumers of Sanchi products or farmers who provide milk at the MP State Cooperativi Dairy Federation. He accused the state government of neglecting the brand. Patwari wrote at the time of the merger, Cm Mohan Yadav had announced that the deputy share in the overall milk production of the country would have been collected from 9 % to 20 % and “you had also given a direction to the MP Govt to take the goal seriously”.

The leader of the congress, however, regretted having proved to be an “airy” target while the situation on the ground is exactly the opposite. Patwari said that the federation’s collection of milk has actually decreased. While the total collection of release milk was 94,496 kg in 2023-24, it reduced to 85,438 kg in 2024-25. Likewise, the sale of milk is also immersed by 1.56 liters Lakh at 1.51 liters. Even the milk committees that produce farmers have reduced from 385 to 362. Even the scheme of the “Sanchi lounge” was in poor condition since 257 applications for the creation of a living room are underway in the same basic division.

Only 57 of them have been accepted and only 31 opened. City, 74 questions are underway and only 1 have been accepted. The “negligence” of the Sanchi brand by the Government “promoted the private milk brands and have launched milk and several dairy products on the market obliquely. It is not only only damaging the value of the” Sanchi “brand, but also leads to the” exploitation “of the farmers who produce milk”, he said.

Patwari said that farmers who produce milk instead of obtaining remuneration prices for milk and becoming economically self -sufficient are pushed into economic crisis due to negligence by the state government and bureaucracy.

As he said that as a cooperative minister, Shah should have strengthened cooperative organisms across the country, Patwari said he should not have “seen a driver a historical cooperative movement such as” Sanchi “to go to the ruins”.

He also suggested steps to the Cooperative Minister of the Union to improve the Sanchi brand, including the formation of an independent panel to examine the current state of things on MP Milk Federation, the disposal of the application for the creation of a “Sanchi” living room throughout the state in a way linked to time, review the role of NDDB in the collection of milk, its determination of prices and its distribution network and the transport network.

In addition, the government should be asked to explain why milk production is not increasing despite the Prime Minister’s announcement, Patwari said. He urged the Cooperative Minister of the Union to “save” the Sanchi brand from the decline of the overall interest of the country’s cooperative movement.
