Tie-breaking game
Under the tie braking rule, when two or more candidates have equal numbers, the tie-breaking rules apply in JEE Advanced. These rules decide which rank will be received. According to reliable sources, this time Rajit Gupta got the first place on the basis of a tie-breaking policy. This policy works like this:
More number subjects: First, different numbers are seen in the maths, physics and chemistry of the candidates. One who has a better score in one or more subject, it can get high rank.
Paper-wise performance: If the number of subjects is also equal, then the score of paper 1 and paper 2 is checked separately. Which has more score in one paper, he gets priority.
Other Criteria: If the tie still does not break, then additional parameters like age or registration numbers can be seen, but its information is less public.
