Relief from heat will be found here
In the midst of the scorching heat in North India, the change in weather is expected to get some relief. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi-NCR may receive dust storm and light to moderate rainfall for the next two days. This will make a lot of relief from the heat. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Bihar may also receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. According to IMD, the south-west monsoon may reach Kerala in the next 2-3 days, causing more rainfall in the coming days.
On May 23, a “Well Marks Low Pressure” system is built near the South Konkan coast in the Arabian Sea. This system is slowly moving towards the north and can turn into depression in the next 24 hours. Due to this, torrential rains have been warned in the states of the west coast.
Red Alert in Maharashtra
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that from May 24, many areas of Maharashtra may receive rain this week. Yellow alert has been issued for Mumbai for the next 5 days. A red alert has been issued on this day for Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, that is, there is a possibility of heavy rains here. Raigad district will also have an orange alert for the next 5 days. It warns that in some areas, strong winds may blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and there may be heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Heavy rains are expected in Kerala
Normal life is being affected due to continuous heavy rains in many parts of Kerala. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the monsoon is expected to reach Kerala in the next two days, which may cause heavy rains in the state in the coming week. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod districts. A red alert has been issued from 24 to 26 May for Kannur and Kasargod. There will be red alert on May 25 and 26 for Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad.
