IPS Story: The Home Department of the Bihar government has made a big reshuffle between IPS officers. Under this change, Patna SSP Holiday Kumar has been transferred and made commander of Special Armed Forces-1. In his place, Purnia SP Kartikey K Sharma has been appointed as the new SSP of Patna. In place of Karthikeya Sharma, SP Sweety Sehrawat of Patna Central has been made the new SP of Purnia. Along with this, we know about Karthikeya Sharma, who was made SSP of Patna.
Study from IIT and IIM
Karthikeya Sharma, who was made SSP of Patna, is originally from Jharkhand. He was born on 4 September 1988. He did his initial studies from Ranchi and then enrolled in IIT Kharagpur for engineering studies. After this, he did PGDM in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
Bihar cadre IPS officer passed UPSC
After completing IIM studies, he gave the Civil Services Examination of UPSC and succeeded in the year 2013. He was made an IPS officer of Bihar cadre in 2014 batch. Karthikeya Sharma started his police career with Lakhisarai. After this, he was posted as SDPO in Siwan and SP in districts like Sheikhpura and Vaishali. He also received an excellent service medal from the Ministry of Home Affairs after disclosing an important murder case in Sheikhpura.
