The name of this IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh is Kamalkant Pandey. He is currently posted as Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Lalitpur. Recently, he fell victim to bee attack in the forest of Lalitpur and he also fainted in the incident. He was somehow taken out of the forest by wearing a blanket and loaded on the bed. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

On 25 May 2025, Kamalakant Pandey was on a routine inspection in Deogarh area of Lalitpur. He went to check the ancient Buddhist caves and tourism sites. He was accompanied by Adm Rajesh Srivastava and some other officers. As he reached the caves, suddenly a beebhed attacked him. His gunner Chandrapal Singh also fainted in an attempt to save Kamalkant. Kalkant fell on the ground and the situation became serious. ADM Ankur Srivastava immediately started the rescue operation and took Kamalakant safely to the hospital. He was wrapped in a blanket and lying on the cot was taken out of the forest. Now his condition is stable and he is recovering.
