That extra red color was particularly evident in HD shows such as breaking Bad (Yes, I see myself for the third time) with the Warm1 color temperature, while Warm2 seemed too fresh. In a scene of season 2, Jesse’s walnuts seem positively painted in red while playing with a scarabeo. In another, a certain someone is looking for a funeral dress, bringing out a “blue” that seems unequivocally purple on the U8QG, but the adequate blue (with a little purple tint) on my OLED LG C1.
The tendency of TV to flatten the details of the shadow is less a problem, thanks to its mostly solid handling and the ability to elaborate dark areas with peak of brightness or settings such as dark details. Scenes such as the dark depths of mandalor from The Mandalorian or the winding hill taken by Harry Potter and death gifts It turned out to be easy to compensate even in demanding environments.

U8 also seems to have intensified the processing of images this year. The clarity of the image can be difficult to quantify, but the TV does a good job making the images 4K sharp and the HD upscaling video, minimizing Moiré mainly, the type of sparkling effect on fine reasons that can be a problem with budget televisions. You will find a solid movement response, especially with a touch of smoothing of the movement and also a uniformity of the decent screen. My review model has only revealed small stains in demanding tests and moving skilines.
Perhaps the largest advantage of the U8QG is that there are not many TVs that perform it well in its price level, in multiple dimensions (even if the performance between the dimensions will vary). The rival of TCL QM8Currently in our test rooms, they usually cost more and prices increase from there for anything close to this level of brightness from Premium brands, such as Sony’s incredible Bravia 9 (9/10, Wired recommended). This could make U8QG the default TV for brightness lovers with a budget, especially once the U8N It is disappeared.
As usual, it all depends when you buy. Until recently, a 65 -inch U8QG cost $ 1,500, on par with the QM8K and Oled Bouier models last year such as LG C4 (9/10, Wired Tips). The C4 is not a nuclear titan, but provides a much better precision, clarity, out -of -axis performance, etc. At $ 1,000 or less, the U8QG is much more friendly and it is worth taking into consideration for those who after the brightness of the eyes.
