Gk question: At present there are nine countries in the world, which are nuclear weapons. This club also includes India. Apart from this, there are many countries in the world including Iran which are trying to make nuclear weapons. The most nuclear weapons are with the US and Russia. Whenever two nuclear -rich countries collide with each other, the world is stunned by its threat to turning its nuclear war. Recently it was seen between India and Pakistan.
The race for atomic Hathiyars started from World War II (1939–1945). When Nazi Germany started nuclear research in 1939. Then America was afraid that Hitler should not make an atom bomb beforehand. Only after this, the US started the Manhattan project. After this, for the first time in the world, he made atomic bombs on 6 August and 9 August on Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities of Japan respectively. Whose names were Little Boy and Fat Man. Often people are confused in nuclear weapon and atom bombs. Let’s know if both are the same? What is the difference between these?
What is the difference between atom bomb and nuclear weapon?
First of all it should be understood that nuclear bombs or weapons are of two types. One is based on fussion bombs and another nuclear fusion (fusion bomb). There were Fizan bombs that were demolished at two cities of Japan. They are called Atom Bomb. The second one is called hydrogen bomb. Actually, nuclear weapon is a total category. In which both atom bomb and hydron bombs come.
Atom bomb
Atom bomb is also called Festion Bomb. It releases heavy atoms (eg uranium-235 or plutonium-239) and release of strong energy. In common language, it is called atomic bomb or atom bomb. The bombs dropped on Hiroshima (6 August 1945) and Nagasaki (9 August 1945) were Atom bombs.
What is a hydrogen bomb?
Hydrogen bomb is also called thermonuclear bomb. First, energy comes out of nuclear fragmentation in it. Then fusation of hydrogen isotopes (deuterium and tritium). Its destructive capacity is hundreds of times more than the atom bomb.
