Gaganyaan Mission is Gaining Pace, Isro Begins Assembly of Human-Rared Launch Vehicle

In the last few years, India has made a lot of progress in space -related campaigns. In this series, preparations are being made by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to make the Gaganyaan mission a success. ISRO has started assembling the Human Rated Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (HLVM3) for this mission. This assembling is being done at ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Center in Andhra Pradesh. This is the beginning of the first mission without crew under the country’s ambitious Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight Mission. ISRO has started assembling with the stacking of the Nozzle and Segment of S200 solid rocket motor. The design of HLVM3 is specially designed for the Human Spaceflight. This is the advanced version of the LVM3 rocket. Its height is about 53 meters and the weight is about 640 tonnes. This three-stage rocket can carry a weight of about 10 tons to the low meaning orbit. This includes a crew escape system (CES) to ensure safe ejections of crew modules in case of a disturbance during return as well as a comeback during the return.

India also plans to build their station in space. Last week, Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh had said that the station will be named “India Space Station”. It can be established by 2035. He had said, “We are going to be our own space station. It will be called India Space Station. It will be made by 2035. We can land an Indian on the moon by 2040.” Regarding the country’s first Human Space Flight Mission Gaganyaan, Singh said that by the beginning of 2026, the first Indian Astronaut will travel to space under this mission. In the last decade, India has launched 397 foreign satellites from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

Recently, Somanath, head of ISRO, had reported that several test flights will be flown without crew before the country’s Astronaut mission in space. ISRO is taking full vigilance for the preparation of Gaganyaan Mission. After the launch of this mission, India will become the fourth country to send astronauts in space after the US, Russia and China. In this mission, one or two astronauts will be transported to a low meaning orbit about 400 kilometers above the earth. <!–
